Michelin Challenge Design, one of the world's top design competitions, has announced its panel of judges for 2009. The distinguished group of automotive design leaders will meet in July at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, to select the vehicle designs and concepts for special exhibition at the 2009 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit next January. This year marks the eighth year for the international competition.
The Roewe 350 is the first model built atop parent company SAIC's new A-class platform. At first sight, there appears considerable overlap with this latest model and the Roewe 550, but the 350's 2650mm wheelbase and overall length of 4521mm is roughly 100mm shorter than the 550. Mercedes G-Class by Vilner
Bulgarian tuner Vilner has taken the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, re-trimmed it and made it in to an off-road carriage fit for Cinderella. It must be pantomime season when car makers (well, car tuners in the shape of Bulgaria’s Vilner) send out a press release for a product with half of it taken up with references to Cinderella. Yes, it seems the new Mercedes G-Class by Vilner is a carriage for for Cinderella.
